DIRECT INDUSTRIAL TOOLING

Using client data for an electric bus prototype, GMD fabricated steel frame structure on 36 foot laser leveled tooling surface plates.. GMD divided data to accomodate 26 part direct composite molds. Tooling paste was robotically applied and five axis milled. GMD applied surfacing primers and hand surfaced tooling. Tool and robotic motions were simulated using state of the art verification programs to allow for around the clock machining.
